A peeling lotion without microplastics or a sunscreen without environmental hazards. These unique products from the Czech company Nafigate use the Czech invention of the natural polymer PHA, which is created from frying oil and is completely degradable in nature. Although Nafigate’s original focus was on nanotechnology, finding a use for waste oil has become its second mission. We spoke to Lenka Mynářová, co-founder and board member of Nafigate Corporation and one of the leading women of the Czech circular economy, about what it’s like to combine business with science and work with innovators from around the world.
